An independent project to preserve Tamil Vedic astrology — one of the oldest living astrological traditions — and make it accessible to everyone.
Why this exists
Growing up Tamil, I watched my family consult panchangams — traditional almanacs guided by the stars — for every important occasion. Weddings, housewarmings, naming ceremonies, even travel. This knowledge has been passed down for thousands of years.
But the tools available online were buried behind ads, locked behind paywalls, or gave inaccurate results. So I built what I wished existed: accurate, beautiful tools that anyone can use. No ads. Just the astrology.
A personal project
This is not a company. It is a one-person project built by a Tamil-origin software engineer who grew up between Tamil Nadu and the diaspora — someone who cares deeply about making this cultural knowledge accessible to the next generation, especially those of us who grew up far from a family jothidar.
Every calculation uses real astronomical data and the sidereal zodiac. Planetary positions are computed from established ephemeris data, not looked up from pre-made tables. The compatibility checks follow the traditional 10-point porutham system as practiced in Tamil Nadu.
Keeping the chain unbroken

The panchangam my grandmother consulted from a printed almanac is the same system that powers this site, just translated into code. If it helps even one person connect with their Tamil heritage, or understand why their parents check Rahu Kalam before starting something new, it will have been worth building.
